Where are the rest of the homework posts???

Hmmm...only a very few folks have posted by the deadline; I hope the rest of you will post--and comment on one another's thoughts, perhaps--full credit can only go to those who met the criteria, of course.

Looking forward to being back with you tomorrow : )

Rationalism and puritanism is showing up more and more each day, especially in religion. The puritans thought of god as a "clockmakeer". He left his creation to run on its own. While the Rationalists thought gods special gift to hummanity was reason, the ability to think in an ordered logical mannor. Still today everyone has their own opinions on religion and lucky for us we can chose what we want to believe and still live in an orderly mannor. In my opinion everyone having their own views on religion today doens't mean anyone is wrong in their views but is an easier way to say everyone is right, and to just avoid the problem. In another words religion is made up so we have an easier explanation to say why things are the way they are today. Also the puritans sought to "purify" the church and make it into a more simpler form of worship and a church organization described in the new testiment. So still today people flee their country for the right of free worshiop just like the puritans had done, their main goal was to "purify" the church so they planned to stop at nothing to do so. So in my opinion evidence of the worldviews of the puritans and rationalists in american public life today appear most in religion, and the different views upon it.
